Wow. That is pretty much what I was thinking at each and every photograph. Just simply beautiful. But what is my dream refrigerator doing in a farmhouse in NY?! It is supposed to be in Boston!
I love the built ins along the staircase. Without them, the stairs would float, but the cabinets really anchor them in the space. Gorgeous house. I'm green with envy.
Maria--This house is wonderful! I love the colors and how they really echo throughout the house. There are so many details I love: the typewriter, the school desk, the cabinets, the wide porch. I love seeing calm spaces like this. Thanks for sharing it here.
oh, so i would like to take this home and add a room for that *amazing* link you sent me about a home gallery and also add a big renovated barn full of artist studios and call the whole thing mine. yes, please? gorgeous post, as always from gorgeous you...
What a lovely & peaceful looking home. I like their choice to retain the home's original austerity and keep embellishment to a minimum. It certainly works for me.
Thanks for the extra photos and link, Maria :) I've had that kitchen image (the one with the "milk" sign) for several months, but didn't know the homeowner's name. I was drawn to the kitchen because of the vintage fridge and lightness. Such a cozy place. To me, it just said "come make cookies with your children here" :)
This is funny because I chose this house randomly from the internet when I did a post a while ago on wanting several different types of homes. I LOVE it! So nice to be able to see in the interior. Thanks!
What a peaceful and simple home! So serene and organized. I am in love with it. I also wanted to tell you that I saw your home featured on Bliss and it is so beautiful. I am envious right now!! Very inspiring!
SO beautiful.....warm, lovely, open and light filled! I can see why you wouldn't change a thing, it is so you! Also, I am sure you have seen Traci's sweet post about your home over on Bliss...but, just in case you hadn't..... xo Melis

the small school desk instead of a highchair! no detail was overlooked.
ReplyDeleteI agree completely! Wouldn't change a thing. I especially love the typewriter vignette and the shelf display - both my favourite palette!
