So, thanks to all involved - Rita Larkin, editor-in-chief at WNC Magazine, and Whitney and Dustin Deal. That was great fun! And thanks to my dear friends Tom and Kelly from Oddfellows Antiques for allowing me to raid their store in search of cute props to style the house with - which I had to then promptly purchase because they were oh-so-perfect (nothing like a photo shoot to get you to finish all those unfinished projects around the house!). I should also note that the gorgeous jewelry I'm wearing is by my wonderful friend, crazy-talented Christie of Calaycay Design.

Happy July
I know I've been gone for a long while, and re-appearing around here
should warrant some sort of explanation, but in truth, I have none.
Life has been good and busy, and I simply wanted to share a
few pictures of a sweet feature of our new (old) home in this month's WNC Magazine. Dustin and Whitney Deal from Oh, Darling! took the beautiful photographs.

What a beautiful home you have! So welcoming....I love all the little details. If you do not mind me asking where did you get your grey couch and the white dining room chairs?
ReplyDeleteHi, Krystal, thank you.
DeleteThe couch is from Ikea. Ours is the Karlstad loveseat with the added chaise lounge and the Isunda Gray cover:

ReplyDeleteJust found you through pinterest. Your house makes my heart flutter! So lovely!
ReplyDeleteWow!! What beauty! Would you mind sharing the paint color and brand in the first photo?
ReplyDeleteHi Ally, thank you! The color on the walls on that first picture is a custom mix, but it's pretty close to Benjamin Moore's Revere Pewter. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I saw your home in the magazine and featured it on my design blog because I loved it so much. You have my dream home! Love your ideas and utilization of space :) Simply perfect. So glad I found your blog!

Oh my gosh! I love every detail!!
ReplyDeletegorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! i haven't visited here in too long and i'm so excited to see this gorgeous spread. i think your house just might be close to my version of perfect. it's delightful! hello to you.
ReplyDeleteCould you share the paint colors in your lovely dining room? The walls, ceiling, and cove, if possible. Thank you for sharing the photos of your new home.
ReplyDeleteKatrina...! So good to read a note from you! Hello back to you, dear one. I will have to stop by your space soon and visit for a bit. I imagine tons and tons of life-changing news. :)
ReplyDeleteAnon, the color on the dining room walls is Wool Skein by Sherwin Williams, the ceiling and cove are Decorator's White by Benjamin Moore... And the trim was already painted that color. I'd try Alabaster by Sherwin Williams for something similar.
What a lovely home!!! Love the cover on Noah's bed. Would you share where you got it? Thanks so much!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Chelle, thanks for the nice words..! The cover on Noah's bed is a vintage kantha quilt. You can get them on ebay or Etsy, and you can also get them at West Elm.
ReplyDeletethanks again,
-maria

ReplyDeleteI miss reading your blog and have so enjoyed your sense of design. Do you think you will blog again?
Thanks!
Kathleen
Hi, Kathleen, so kind of you to write a little note..! Thank you. You know, I don't know if I'll blog again or not. My life has been really busy and blogging seems to take up a lot of time... but I haven't made a resolution either way. For now, though, I will continue to use Pinterest as a little way of staying somewhat connected to the internet world. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks again for writing!
best,
