Vintage Organic

Ever since I saw Emily and Jacob's place on Design Sponge and then again on Apartment Therapy, I've been loving the look of bare wood and soft colors borrowed from nature... And I am madly in love with Emily's lyrical photography. Take a look...

I find that as the colder weather sets in, this look suits my mood perfectly... Such a warm, cozy, comforting place... isn't it?

  1. How cosy and restful, and I'd be sure to ruin it with my painter's yen. I never can resist a kitchen with a KitchenAid.

  2. It is, it is...warm, cozy, and comforting! And I love your description of her photography-"lyrical," indeed.

I fell hard for that sueded chair and wee stump stool when I first spotted it on D*S. And I love the little detail of the kitchen cabinet door, so pretty!

  5. Aha. If you will just comb d*s for me, I can unsubscribe. That way I will only see the good stuff and avoid all crocheted trees, felted bowls, and refrigerators covered with contact paper. I am in your debt.

  6. It sure is beautiful. The first photo actually reminds me of photos you've posted of your own house. I like the lamp as jewelry organizer. Clever.

  8. Sign me up for that house! I also love that velvet chair. But the whole place is fantastic. That bedroom paint color is unexpectedly perfect. I would never think to do that.
